30 Days of Fall Fashion Day #21: Long Open Front Cardigan

I bought this cardigan over the summer during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale……BEST SALE ALL YEAR!!!  However…right now they are having their Fall Clearance Sale which is also pretty darn good…..check it out here!  I bought this cardigan in both gray and black and I cannot possibly tell you how soft and cozy it is.  I am sure I will be living in them all winter as our house tends to be a bit on the chilly side….the Hubs is also known as “Nanook of the North.”  He would have windows open almost all year if he could get away with it.  Beyond staying snuggly around the house it is also great paired with both jeans and leggings for a casual but pulled together look. 30 Days of Fall Fashion Day #18: “School Girl” Tunic

I picked this “School Girl” Tunic up several weeks ago at the Mint Julep Boutique.  I liked the faux suede patches and knew it would be perfect with camel colored riding boots that I didn’t own at the time but I had my eye on a couple of different pairs.  It looks like the top is sold out at the moment, but you can get on the waiting list and then will notify you when it comes back into stock.  That is one thing I love about this site.  I have taken advantage of this opportunity a couple of times…..like with my fringe booties!! 30 Days of Fall Fashion Day #17: Burberry”ish” Scarf

I love the classic color combination of camel, red, black and white in a Burberry plaid scarf.  I do not, however, like the $300-$400 price tag that comes with a Burberry scarf.  I  picked this knock-off up a couple of years ago at Kohl’s for about $20 and I am perfectly happy with it.  Now….don’t misunderstand….if someone were to give me a luxurious cashmere or silk Burberry scarf I would be more than happy to kick this one to the curb and spend my days basking in the softness.  Since that is not likely to happen though I will go on being content with the one I have.

Here is the swoon-worthy real deal….

Here is how I put it together with my Kohl’s version of the scarf…

| Pants | Shoes | Scarf (similar) | Top (similar) |

My photographer…aka The Hubs insisted on the cheesy pose leaning on the fence….it’s hard to get good help these days!  LOL  I wore my Old Navy Rockstar Sateen pants, a black faux wrap t-shirt and my cap toe flats from Target.  The entire outfit is only a fraction of the cost of the real scarf and it looks about the same!

Have a Great One All!
