Hi!  As I promised, I am reviewing my Stitch Fix that arrived earlier this week.  This is my 4th Fix and I absolutely adore Stitch Fix.  For those of you that are not familiar with Stitch Fix it is an online personal styling company.  You can sign up for fixes on a monthly basis, every other month, etc. depending on what works best for you and your budget.  You will fill out a questionnaire when you sign up and you can also allow them to look at your Pinterest Boards if you have one for fashion to help the stylist get to know what your tastes are.  The questionnaire allows you to indicate what price points you would like to stick to.  I will warn you that their stuff is not cheap, but it well worth the price and really not overly expensive.  I also love that it sort of pushes me outside of my comfort zone a bit at times.   Your personal stylist selects 5 items for you and you are charged a $20 styling fee for each Fix, but that comes off the price of anything from the Fix that you decide to keep.

I even love the way they package your Fix.  It looked like a great big burrito this month!!  LOL

Once it arrives you then have 5 days to decide what you and want to keep and what you want to return.  If you keep everything you get a 25% discount off of the purchase price.  Anything that you don’t want to keep just goes into the postage paid envelope they include with your Fix and you return it free of charge.  To checkout you just sign-in to your Stitch Fix account, let them know which items you are keeping and which you are returning.  This is also a great time to give them feedback about each item to help your stylist better match your style taste for the next Fix.  Then you pay for what you are keeping…simple as that!!

Included with your fix is a styling card with two different ways to style each piece, except for the jewelry pieces.  You have the option to get accessories or not.    I have gotten great jewelry pieces from them so far.  So…let’s get on with this review!

Colourworks-Mallory Ruffle Back Open Cardigan-$68

I liked this a lot out of the box, but it is very similar to one I just bought from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale.  Once I put it on I did not love the way the ruffles fell on my back side….I don’t need any extra volume there is you know what I mean!!!

41 Hawthorn-Queensland Dolman Jersey Top-$48

This looked like a dress at first when I took it out of the box because it is meant to be gathered at the waist.  Once I put it on I totally changed my mind about it…..I total love it and it is soooooo comfortable!!

Market & Spruce-Alessandra Striped and Colorblocked Blouse-$48

I loved the colors and pattern of this as soon as I took it out of the box.  Sadly…this top was no match for my chest….WAY too tight….pics of me in this top would have been obscene…LOL

Dear John-Marson Wide Leg Denim Trouser-$78

When I saw the flare at the bottom of these I thought there was NO WAY I could ever like them.  However, once I put them on I was pleasantly surprised.  Now…they are SUPER long and not doing my butt any favors but they have certainly made me want to go find a pair of flared denim trousers.  I am wearing a 3″ wedge in the pics and they are still about 3″ too long.  The 70’s are totally on trend for this fall so I think I need to take the leap and go find a pair of flairs that fit better.

Verdict-Return…but feeling inspired!!

Bay to Baubles-Jenson Crystal Stud Earrings-$28

IMG_3465I have had such great luck with the jewelry pieces so far.  This month though these earring just didn’t speak to me.  I asked for gold earrings, which these certainly are, but I just felt like they looked a little cheap maybe.  I also had my heart set on something dangly which I should have mentioned to my stylist….lesson learned.

Have you ever tried Stitch Fix?  What was your experience?

Have a Great One All!!

Patty  🙂
