I really need to stop opening e-mails from Loft…..it too often leads to a purchase that let’s be honest….I really don’t need. That was the case with this anorak sweater. Impulse buying gets the best of me every time and I am a sucker for a cute anorak! I styled this anorak sweater with my favorite camo pants, gray tassel tie booties, and a classic black tee.
To be completely honest, I am not thrilled with the fit of this sweater. The ties on the anorak are on the sides which kept coming untied all day and made me a little crazy because they are hard to tie with them being on the sides. It also hangs sort of droopy in the front at the bottom. I am hoping it will shrink a bit in the wash so the fit will be better…otherwise I am going to wish I would have gone down a size. It is super comfy though and if all else fails it will be great for wearing around the house with leggings on lazy days!
This has been a crazy busy week…3 games and a team dinner along with planning for both try-outs and the Cheer Banquet! I have taken pics, but haven’t had a chance to get the blog posts written. I promise to get caught up this week…Yikes!! I wore this to one of my games this week.
This is a compilation of several of my favorite pieces….my comfy cozy cardigan from the Nordstrom sale, Wit and Wisdom Jeans, Franco Sarto booties, and an older black and tan striped shirt. I added a lace trimmed cami under the striped shirt to give it a little more length and interest. I have this cami in black and cream and both came from Jane.com, but are not available all of the time. It looks like they are there right now though for just $12.99.
I ordered this necklace in silver from Nordstrom….it is very similar to the Rebel Pendant in gold from Stella and Dot that I wear all of the time but at less than half the price. I wasn’t sure I would like it as much, but I am happy to report this is one of those times when the less expensive version is just as great as the original!! The shorter feather necklace came from Alex & Ani. It is similar to one I saw Joanna Gaines wearing on Fixer Upper and I just loved it so I searched the internet for a similar one. I am a little too obsessed with Fixer Upper. #notastalker #justafan Both necklaces are available in silver and gold tones.
We just barely missed the huge winter storm that is burying the east coast right now. Life as usual continues here…..but thoughts and prayers for those that are being impacted!!
I had a long evening of basketball games tonight so casual and comfortable was they key! Daisy snuck out the door with me when I went to take pics so I just had to include her….I mean really….look at that cute face! She is such a sweet girl!!
I just got this sweatshirt this week from Marleylilly and I am loving it. It is my favorite website for all things monogrammed! This sweatshirt is on sale right now for $29.99 and it is available in lots of different color combinations and fonts.
I have shared these jeans a few times. They aren’t on sale anymore so you might want to wait if you are interested in them.
I picked up this gingham button down under my sweatshirt a couple of years ago at Eddie Bauer so I linked to a similar one. Mine has a really small gingham print and the one I linked to is a bigger print.
The shoes have been shared before too. They have become a favorite as they go with lots of different styles and they are SUPER comfortable! They are available in several different colors and the tassel detail on the laces is so fun!
I hope you are safe and warm wherever you are this weekend!!
Today I used a Pinsperation for my outfit. I spend so much time surfing Pinterest and sometimes I don’t take the time to go back and look at all of the great stuff I have pinned to use as inspiration. I have found that to be the case lately as much of inspirtation has been coming from other bloggers that I follow. That’s always great, but I really wanted to get back to where I started with this blog….Pinsperations! (more…)
My timing for this delivery was not very good because I also received my Stitch Fix delivery just a few days before this one. Although I only kept 1 thing from my Fix I knew I didn’t want to spend much on this one since it was so soon after my Fix. Luckily….it wasn’t hard deciding what to keep and what to send back. I am adjusting my delivery schedules for both subscriptions to every other month on alternating months for now. Here is what my stylist sent me this time….. (more…)
I was suppose to have a basketball game again on Saturday night. It was an away game and about an hour and a half bus ride….I was not looking forward to it! When I got the call that evening that the other school had some water damage to their gym floor and our game was being canceled I felt bad for them but I was selfishly thrilled for me! Instead of a Game Night I got to have a Date Night with the Hubs!! Those are few and far between during cheer season, so I treasure them when the opportunity arises. (more…)
I might be one of the only cheer coaches in the world who doesn’t feel the need to wear our school colors to each and every game. I use to be better about this, but our colors are purple and gold and one can only wear so much purple and gold. Instead, now I just always try to look nice for games regardless of the color. This is what I wore to our game on Friday night. (more…)
After a snow day and then a 2-hour delay my schedule was totally out of whack. So when I got up for a full day of work I felt like I needed a cozy cardigan day. Teaching is the best job ever and the fact that I can be comfy cozy is just another benefit. (more…)
Being a teacher, I can honestly say that most teachers are more excited about snow days than even the kids. There is just something about the phone ringing just before the alarm goes off to let you know you have the day all to yourself….it is magical! Don’t misunderstand…..I love my job and I am so blessed to do it alongside an amazing team….but I also love a surprise day off…I mean really, who wouldn’t??!!??
So needless to say, today was a casual day in my world. I pulled out my distressed jeans, a new button down from Loft and a fun cardigan from Loft as well. Warm and cozy were the rules of the day and this outfit met those requirements for sure! Loft is having a “Flash Sale” tonight with an extra 70% of sale items…go check it out!! Both the cardigan and the button down are available in the sale!!
I hope you are staying warm in your corner of the world!
