I finally made it to a weigh-in this week after missing the last couple of weeks. Like I have mentioned, I have not been good about tracking so I was nervous about what might happen. It turns out I lost 0.2 pounds….but given my lack of tracking that is a HUGE victory. Thank goodness for no gains over these few weeks!! I am back to tracking again so we shall see how next week goes. I am at 11.2 pounds now and hoping for 20 by Halloween…that would make for lots of treats and no tricks for sure!! 😉
Mondays seem a little better when they include red shoes and a new top from Monday Dress! I found this top last week on the website Monday Dress.com. I love the color blocking at the top and of course the elbow patches. It hangs a little longer in the back which I typically prefer, but in this case the stripes were a little weird on my back side so I just bunched it up a little in the back and that took care of the issue.
Monday Dress is an online clothing boutique based out of Greenville, South Carolina. They put new arrivals up each day at 10:00 AM, but they put most of them up on Mondays. There are great deals to be had, but things go fast. This top is already sold out. It is worth going to their site and having a look around at all of the other great stuff they have to offer. I have only had good experiences with them so far. (I am not being compensated by Monday Dress in any way, and all of these opinions are my own.)
The cargo pants are from Gap. Sadly, it looks like they are sold out as well, but there are some really similar ones at Kohl’s.
The ballet flats are from about a year ago from Old Navy. They are still available on the website here and they are on sale for $12…..Yahoo!!! It was too warm here today to wear boots, but it looks like the rest of the week is cooling off so bring on the boots…YAY!!
The necklace is my new Stella & Dot….I told you I would gets lots of wear out of it. Hope you had a great Monday and that you have an even better week.
I really HAVE to remove my name from so many of the Boutique’s e-mail lists….I am such a sucker for an e-mail with a link to a cute piece. Most of the time I feel like I am getting a pretty good deal….but isn’t too much of anything suppose to be a bad thing???? Maybe just for my budget! LOL
At any rate…..this adorable tassel trimmed cardigan was one of those items that popped up in my e-mail about a week ago and I simply couldn’t resist. I bought it at Mint Julep, which is a boutique with TONS of cute stuff. I like it as much as I like Glamour Farms…and well you know how much I love that place!! I love how I have it styled with jeans and my new favorite boots, but it would also be cute with a longer shirt underneath and some leggings. The hem line is longer in the back than in the front which is nice for covering up the booty a bit without it feeling too overwhelming on my shorter frame.
I also added a new necklace from Stella and Dot called the Rebel Pendant. I have had my eye on it for quite some time and on the spur of the moment I pulled the trigger and bought it….I am so glad I did. I like it even better in person than in the tons of other blog posts I have seen it in. I am sure I will wear it all the time!!!!
I ordered these pants from Old Navy in both tan and burgundy and I love how comfy they are. Both colors were on my Fall Shopping List and they were a good deal plus I had some Old Navy Cash to use. They have just enough stretch to be comfortable but not so much that they look huge by the end of the day. I hate it when it looks like my pants have grown over the course of a day…UGH!!
The top is from Stitch Fix…one of my very favorite pieces from them ever. My next fix should be on its way this week and I am super excited to see what my stylist has picked out for me this time.
The leopard flats are from Target….and yes I bought them in 3 different colors. I already had the burgundy ones and then they had a buy one get one half off sale…how could I possibly pass that up…I mean really!!!
The scarf is an old one from about 2-3 years ago. I love the chevron print and the contrast between that print and the leopard print of the shoes. Mixing patterns can add interest if you don’t get too crazy with it.
On a side note…..it has come to our attention that our dog Murphy is a “peeper!” He just loves to look through the knot hole in our back fence and see what the neighbor is up to. We have told him this is not normal behavior nor is it very polite…he doesn’t seem to care….UGH!!! It is a good thing he is cute….he has the other 2 joining in now on his bad behavior! Note to self…it looks like it is time to stain the fence again…sorry Hubs!! 🙂
I have not weighed in for 2 weeks. I have been awful about tracking what I eat as well….Yikes!!! I promise to do better this week and to have some weigh-in results next Wednesday!!
I am back with my olive green field jacket again. This time I paired it with a floral tank from Old Navy, my Wit and Wisdom Jeans (of course), and my wedge booties from last winter. I have been seeing them everywhere again this year….yahoo!! I would have worn them again this year either way though because I totally love them. I also have them in taupe, and I am sure you will be seeing lots of them all winter.
This is a great choice for the summer to fall transition. The jacket is enough if there is a fall chill in the air, but with the tank underneath it is still light enough for warmer temperatures. You could even take the jacket off if it got too warm.
The weather was perfect on Sunday for running errands in my little car with the top down….not too warm, not too cold, and no chance of rain!! I LOVE days like that and it makes running errands so much more pleasant. I think I drove around all day with a goofy smile on my face just because it was such a great day.
I decided to wear a pair of my Wit and Wisdom jeans as always and I added this super comfy cardigan from Nordstrom with an Old Navy T-Shirt and a pair of black riding boots from Old Navy online. The cardigan is a little longer in the back which helps cover my booty a bit. It is also a really light fabric which makes it another great transitional piece from summer to fall. This winter I will likely add a turtleneck under it. My sweater is black and white striped and it looks like they are out of that color combo, but some other colors are available for 45% off right now…..GREAT DEAL ALERT!!! The t-shirt from Old Navy is on sale right now as well for only $5….what!!!???!!! The necklace is from Stitch Fix and one of my favorite pieces. I accidentally hooked it on the dogs’ cage a few weeks ago and broke it, but The Hubs saved the day and was able to fix it for me….I love that man!!
If you ever need ANYTHING with a monogram that is the place to go. They have everything you have ever dreamed of with a monogram ( I mean, who doesn’t dream about monogrammed clothing) and then a few other things as well. I first found them when they showed up on my Facebook feed and I have made several purchases from them. Their prices are fair…not cheap….and their service is pretty fast for custom monograms. I added my lace extender tank again from Jane.Com, my Wit and Wisdom Jeans, and my brown riding boots. Here is how I pulled it all together…
Although it is not in our school colors, it was a great choice for a chilly evening at a soccer game….which our boys won of course!! *\O/*
